Pastor Chad and Helen : Senior Pastors
Ask Chad Bartlett what Shepherd’s Place Community Church means to him and you’ll get two words. Passion and Vision.
Pastor Chad’s passion for people has always been a part of his life. He graduated from World Harvest Bible College in 1995. He attended and worked as the Director of Junior Church for Rod Parsley at World Harvest Church. It was there that he met Helen, who worked on the Pastor Care team at World Harvest and the woman who would later become his wife. After graduating they moved to Checotah, OK becoming Children’s & Youth Pastors at Faith Temple Praise and Worship Center (Checotah, OK). For three years they served the local body, building two ministries from the ground up. Creating feeding, outreach, and discipleship programs that are currently active and growing to this day.
In 2002 they became the Youth Pastors at Lighthouse Worship Center. There, the youth group grew to well over 100 students.
In 2003 Pastor Chad was elected the State Youth Director of the Oklahoma District Pentecostal Church of God.
In Oct of 2007 Pastor Chad had the honor of becoming the Senior Pastor here at Shepherds Place and a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God. Chad & Helen have been married for 13 years. They have 3 awesome children; Hayden who is 12, Cameron who is 9, and Harrison who is 5.
Pastor Chad is committed to reaching the lost & help hurting people find Jesus Christ. For a world of people trying to be something they aren’t..become real with God.
Pastor Dan and Jessica: Student Ministries Directors
Pastor Dan believes that only one thing can change the heart and life of a student...simply the spirit of God.
Every week Pastor Dan brings a high energy, student centered service. Surrounding himself with a great team, Pastor Dan and Jessica bring the word of God in interactive lessons, Bible based truths, and the opportunity for students to make those life changing decisions.
Pastor Dan and Jessica have over 11 years serving in the ministry and are excited and honored to serve here at Shepherd’s Place Church. Taking the vision of Pastor Chad and applying it to every department in the Student Ministries.
Edie Cordray: Worship Leader
Edie has been a part of the vision of Shepherd’s Place Church for the past 3 years. Being only 22 years old, she believes 1 Timothy 4:12 that says “Let no man look down on you because you are young but be an example unto the believers”. As Shepherd’s Place’s Worship Leader Edie bring her talent for God to the stage every week. Along with her band, she leads Shepherd Place in worship and encourages the church to find a relationship with God while experiencing him during their worship time.
Edie has known of her calling into the ministry since her Senior Year of High School. She has been part of Chi Alpha Campus Ministries at the University of Oklahoma for the past four years leading girls in small group ministries and following her passion for the Lord.
Pastor Mark and Jolene Morrow: Associate Pastors
Mark Morrow felt the calling of God in his life as an early teenager. He grew up as a “PK” and quickly found a love for the day to day life in the church. He served in his local church as a youth worker in the same youth group he grew up in.
He met Jolene in 2000 and they were married in 2001. They settled down in his hometown of Duncan where he took the job as Youth Pastor in the same church that he grew up and served in.
Mark and Jolene come to Norman with an excitement and the idea that the local church can change a world.
With over 11 years of ministry, Mark and Jolene bring creativity, structure, and the passion for connecting their community with the local church body. The are a driving force behind the idea of seeing the SPCC reach out beyond the walls of “church” and be the change in their city.
